A history of medical mission
EMMS International's story begins with the founding of the Edinburgh Medical Missionary Society in 1841. This rich history is recorded in letters, meeting books, reports, maps, photographs and other documents. The archive is under the care of the Royal College of Surgeons of Edinburgh and can be accessed by researchers and enthusiasts by arrangement.
